Great food, atmosphere, and friendly staff! When you come you have to try the caprese toast and cinnamon toast! Just went for brunch and ordered the chorizo skillet and banana foster pancakes! Everything is fresh and delicious! This is not a fast food coffee restaurant like Starbucks. It’s good made to order food!

My expectations were pretty high after reading the reviews with everyone raving about the coffee. We were looking for somewhere with good coffee that also had breakfast food, so I was excited to find this place. But it didn’t live up to all the hype. From the outside it looks very sad. I almost thought they had gone out of business when I first pulled up. Yes the inside is decorated cute but everything else was average at best. Almost every single food item was marked out on the menu, so we had very few options, only 2 kinds of toast and breakfast tacos. We got cinnamon toast, avocado toast and 2 different kinds of breakfast tacos. The cinnamon toast was good but nothing special. The avocado toast was mashed avocado on top of toast. Nothing else, no seasoning or anything. Very bland. The breakfast tacos were scrambled eggs in a tortilla with one strip of bacon laid on top. Very little thought and effort were put into these dishes. Our iced lattes were nothing special. If you are looking for a place to get a coffee and relax or work for awhile, this would be a good place but make sure you eat before you come.

What an awesome experience!!! It’s not just the food or the drinks, it’s EVERYTHING. I had the banana foster pancakes and a caramel lavender latte….OH MY GOODNESS!!! Everything was exquisite. The service was top notch. If you are in the area visit this establishment. Thank you Curt for the hospitality.

Best weekend brunch in Corpus. Been coming here a couple times a week for a few months, and Chef Curt never disappoints. Top notch food. Top notch drinks. Coffee is sourced locally from Driftwood, the best roaster in town. Everything at Coral Bean is made in house, plated with care and precision, and most importantly, so delicious that you’ll want to keep coming back for more.

I’ve been to Coral Bean all week to work on my laptop; I love the atmosphere, the music, the people, the tacos and the coffee. I brought my parents back to try the weekend brunch and we all enjoyed it. The candied bacon tacos were my favorite. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in corpus. Loved it! Thank you to the owners.

Coral Bean Cafe is owned by a gentleman from Chicago names Curt. You can’t miss him, huge smile and eager to serve you up one of the best homemade healthy dishes in all of Corpus Christi. He generously let me try one pancake no charge, and these pancakes didn’t have artificial sweetener nor did the syrup. The flour is made On-Site and is “Micro-milled”. The fluff has a perfect, sweetness with a nice rich bite to it without the overwhelming taste of sugar. His food is made through a chef like process, this isn’t a fast quick chain coffee shop. Things get done by hand and care here. He values his customers by doing the smallest gestures like adding more or less of an ingredient to your liking also explains how to perfectly pair your food. This is a gem that needs to shine in Corpus Christi keep coming and supporting this native Chicago business owner!

Y’all. I had the BEST pancakes of my life here. They’re called banana fosters. They are served during their weekend brunch special. They come with lime slices to activate the flavor, but they don’t taste like lime at all. They’re perfection, and a must have. Everyone is incredibly friendly as well. Love this place!!
